Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a South Indian Chef based in Salem. The South Indian Chef will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and overseeing authentic South Indian cuisine. Key tasks include menu planning, ingredient sourcing, cooking, plating, and maintaining high culinary standards. The chef will ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality control, while collaborating with the kitchen team to innovate and enhance the dining experience for every guest.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in preparing and presenting a wide range of South Indian dishes, including traditional and contemporary recipes.
- Experience in menu planning, ingredient selection, and the ability to create innovative culinary offerings.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices, with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Team collaboration, communication, and time-management skills to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury or upscale restaurant/hotel settings.
- Culinary degree or certification in South Indian cuisine is an added advantage.
