About the Department
Mission:The mission of the LPC Board of Examiners is to protect the public interest by regulating the practice of mental health counseling, the practice of marriage and family therapy, and the use of the titles of Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or any similar term, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), and Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT).

Three years of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
As a Licensing Analyst, you will:
- Process all incoming applications {with the exception of renewal applications)
- Draftandn1aintainall applicant related correspondence
- Provide updates to the Executive Director regarding issues, work completed, and outstanding tasks
- Provide information by answering questions and requests from licensees, provisional licensees, applicants, and the public through professional, appropriate, and timely verbal and written communication.
- Provide information to the Administrative Assistant and the Data Entry Assistant regarding applicants, current licensees, and the provision of licenses
- Provide information to Board Members regarding Applicants at Licensure Con1mitteeMeeting{s}and Board Meeting(s)as needed
- Prepare Applicant Reports for Board Meeting(s)
- Ensure the internal database and website are accurate and current
- Appropriately document all applicant processing-related tasks
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including filing and updating spreadsheets
- Contributed to the team effort and protection of the public in a meaningful, professional, and appropriate manner
