The License Analyst Supervisor is a supervisor role responsible for managing the agency's licensing strategy, compliance, and regulatory adherence. The position manages a team of licensing analysts and works cross-functionally with upper management, investigators, and administrators.
This role blends strategy, compliance oversight, licensing division management, and team leadership.
The License Analyst Supervisor will manage the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses to all eligible and qualified persons regulated by the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission by providing direction, management, and/or support to Licensing Analysts and other clerical personnel
Position Duties
Six years of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
An advanced degree plus two years of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
Responsible for supervising the LMVC Licensing Division. Assist the License Analyst Director with directing, planning, managing, and coordinating all departmental activities.
Supervise licensing staff involved in all phases of the licensing process regulated by the LMVC.
Assist the director with development, coordination, implementation, administration, and ongoing monitoring of licensing procedures in accordance with LMVC requirements, law, rules and regulations.
Assist or advises the License Analyst Director and administrative leadership on necessary organizational policy and procedural changes to ensure the effective and comprehensive administration of licensing requirements
Interprets departmental policies and procedures to ensure consistency with state rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Participates in meetings and conferences with the director, committee, and/or Board members to guide LMVC Licensing Division procedures.
Assists, confers with, and may serve as a liaison to other officials in federal, state, and local governments and agencies relative to agency policies.
Conducts interviews with LMVC licensure applicants and reviews required official documentation. Evaluates the performance of Licensing Division staff. Provides counseling and guidance to Licensing Division staff as needed
Appointment Type: Promotional- Applicants must be permanent, Classified employee of the La Motor Vehicle Commission
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
