Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to provide leadership and oversight of Outpatient and Residential nursing services in a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) setting. This role ensures high-quality, integrated care that addresses behavioral health, physical health, and whole-person needs. Experience working in mental health settings is strongly preferred.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed and pass a clear background check.
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support OP and Residential nursing staff, including MAS nurses and MAC workers
- Oversee medication administration processes, MARs, and Nurse Delegation Program (NDP) compliance
- Investigate and report medication errors and ensure corrective action
- Provide nursing coverage and clinical support as needed
- Coordinate care across behavioral health and physical health providers
- Monitor and ensure compliance with CCBHC standards and quality measures
- Train, evaluate, and support nursing and MAC staff
- Participate in performance improvement, strategic planning, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
- Conduct nursing assessments and provide direct nursing services as needed.

ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid AL driver’s license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
