Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef at MBRS HOTEL PRIVATE LIMITED located in Puducherry. The Sous Chef will assist in planning and preparing diverse, high-quality meals in compliance with established menu specifications. Key responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, ensuring kitchen cleanliness, and maintaining food safety standards. The role also involves contributing ideas to enhance menu offerings and ensuring timely delivery of food services. The Sous Chef will coordinate closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Experience with kitchen management, staff supervision, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and quality assurance practices
- Creativity in menu planning and an understanding of diverse cuisines
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
- Formal culinary training or certification is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and during varying shifts
