Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef specializing in continental cuisine, based in Delhi, India. The Sous Chef will assist in planning and preparing high-quality meals, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, overseeing kitchen operations, collaborating on new menu items, and training junior staff. The Sous Chef will also ensure consistency in food presentation and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences at 38 Barracks.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Continental cuisine, cooking techniques, recipe creation, and menu development
- Proficiency in kitchen management, inventory control, and staff coordination
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is a strong advantage
