Job Title: Sous Chef – Continental
Location: New Delhi
Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹45,000 per month + Food
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing the Continental kitchen section
- Prepare and cook Continental dishes including pasta, sauces, soups, salads, and grilled items
- Maintain taste, quality, and presentation of all food items
- Supervise junior chefs, commis, and kitchen helpers in the Continental section
- Manage inventory, stock control, and daily requisitions for the kitchen
- Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards (HACCP)
- Train junior staff and ensure consistent quality of food
- Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth and timely food delivery
- Control food cost, minimize wastage, and maintain kitchen discipline
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role handling Continental cuisine
- Strong knowledge of multi-course Continental dishes and plating
- Leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and kitchen SOPs
Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum 4–8 years of experience in hotel/restaurant kitchens
- Prior experience in multi-cuisine kitchens is a plus
