Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sous Chef role based in Chennai. The Sous Chef will assist in managing the kitchen operations, supervising food preparation, ensuring food quality and presentation, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards. The role involves supporting the Head Chef in menu planning, staff training, managing inventory, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the kitchen during service hours.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills including meal preparation, cooking techniques, and plating.
- Experience in kitchen management, team supervision, and training kitchen staff.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and compliance with health regulations.
- Menu planning and inventory management skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Passion for culinary arts and attention to detail in food quality and presentation.
- Professional culinary training or certification is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
