Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef in Bengaluru. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, which include menu planning, food preparation, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and supervising kitchen staff. Additionally, the role involves inventory management, training kitchen team members, and ensuring timely delivery of meals in line with high culinary standards. The Sous Chef will also take over the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in culinary techniques, menu planning, and food presentation
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen hygiene standards
  • Leadership and team management skills to supervise and train kitchen staff effectively
  • Experience in inventory control and ensuring cost-effective kitchen operations
  • Adaptability under pressure while maintaining high food quality and service standards
  • Prior experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred
  • Formal culinary training or a degree in Culinary Arts or related field is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
