Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef based in Mumbai. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing a variety of dishes, ensuring food quality standards are consistently met. Responsibilities include managing kitchen operations, supervising team members, monitoring food inventory, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards. The Sous Chef will also contribute to menu innovation and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service during rush hours.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills, including experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating
- Ability to manage kitchen operations, supervise staff, and coordinate with team members
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and inventory management
- Creative approach to menu development and presenting quality dishes
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant culinary background
- A professional culinary qualification or degree is preferred
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and strong problem-solving abilities
