Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities include team supervision, menu development, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with the culinary team to innovate and refine menu offerings. The Sous Chef will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest dining experiences.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Culinary Techniques, Food Presentation, and Menu Development
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety, Sanitation Standards, and Compliance
- Experience in Kitchen Staff Management and Team Coordination
- Exceptional Organizational and Time Management Skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field
- Experience working in upscale or luxury hotels is a plus
- Passion for culinary innovation and attention to detail
- Familiarity with modern cooking equipment and techniques
