Role Description
The Sous Chef will assist in managing kitchen operations, supervising culinary activities, and ensuring quality food preparation. Responsibilities include planning and developing menus, managing inventory, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and leading a team during food preparation. The Sous Chef will also collaborate with the Head Chef to train staff and innovate new dishes to enhance the dining experience of guests.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills, including cooking, plating, and food presentation techniques
- Experience in kitchen operations, planning menus, and managing food inventory
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Team management, leadership, and staff training experience
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
