Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef based in Jalandhar. The Sous Chef will support in day-to-day kitchen operations, overseeing food preparation, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen functionality. Responsibilities include menu execution, ingredient preparation, managing kitchen staff, upholding cleanliness standards, and implementing safety and hygiene practices. The Sous Chef will also collaborate to create new recipes and maintain consistency in delivering exceptional dishes.
Qualifications
- Culinary expertise in food preparation, plating techniques, and flavor profiling
- Proven experience in kitchen operations, including managing inventory and overseeing kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Creativity and passion for developing new recipes and menus
- Formal culinary training or associated certification is preferred
- Experience in a cafe or all-day dining setup is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team
