Job details:
Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Focused on execution of standard enabling activities/provision of advice subject to policy and work routines within an enabling discipline.
This role will be focused on both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development, including product qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring (surveillance and inspections), thus ensuring products and services are delivered on time, on budget and meeting all Quality expectations.
- Drive a strong EHS, Nuclear Safety, CFSI, Quality, Compliance and Lean culture at supplier works.
- Drive continuous improvement to track key performance indicators (KPIs) e.g., Documentation and inspection FPY, on time delivery, NCR, Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) etc.
- Full implementation of Dir102, Dir104 during qualification.
- Driving Supplier Quality Improvement Programs to enhance supplier performance and base.
- Ensure implementation of proactive supplier audit program to minimize and ultimately eliminate product and process risk as well as customer and factory escapes.
- Coordinate with the ordering unit SQE for effective management of cross-region Purchase Orders and Product Qualifications.
- Conducting tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues.
- Encourage a culture of support, cooperation, trust, and open reporting culture.
- knowledge of different manufacturing process e.g., casting, fabrication, forging, machining, surface treatment process etc.
- Knowledge of different material metallurgy specially for nuclear turbine components.
- Knowledge of lean tools e.g., FMEA, APQP, 8D/A3, VSM etc.
Basic Qualifications(requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical/engineering subject
- Minimum1-5 years’ experience in Engineering/Quality.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read and correctly interpret technical documents/drawings/specifications.
- ASNT Level-II in UT, MT & PT preferable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
