The Sourcing & Merchandising Manager at Baywindow is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Vendor Management:
- This role is responsible for identifying and sourcing (Domestic & International) high-quality furniture products, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance and develop alternate sourcing options.
Costing & Pricing:
- Prepare product costing, quotations, and pricing proposals.
- Analyze material, labor, overhead, and logistics costs.
- Ensure target margins are achieved while remaining competitive.
Order Management:
- Manage the complete order lifecycle from purchase order to final shipment.
- Coordinate with production planning, procurement, quality, logistics, and finance teams.
- Monitor production schedules and resolve delays.
- Ensure timely customer updates on order status.
Production Coordination:
- Work closely with factory teams to ensure production meets customer specifications.
- Monitor production capacity and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate pre-production meetings and production planning.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure furniture products meet customer specifications and international quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections during production and before shipment.
- Address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Export & Logistics:
- Coordinate export documentation and shipping schedules.
- Work with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and importing country regulations.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare sales forecasts, order status reports, merchandising dashboards, and profitability analyses.
- Day-to-day tasks include analyzing sales data, coordinating with sales and customer service teams, tracking stock movement, and optimizing product displays to improve customer experience and revenue.
- Plan assortments, manage inventory levels, and ensure the right mix of products is available in line with market trends and customer preferences.
