Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sourcing Manager role based in Mumbai. The Sourcing Manager will oversee end-to-end sourcing activities for construction materials, finishes, and related services for current and upcoming residential projects. Daily tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, requesting and analyzing quotations, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery requirements. The role involves close coordination with project, procurement, engineering, and finance teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and avoid construction delays. The Sourcing Manager will also track market trends, maintain vendor performance records, and recommend process improvements to strengthen the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in real estate, construction, or related industries.
- Strong skills in vendor identification, evaluation, and relationship management, with the ability to build a reliable supplier base.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts while balancing cost, quality, and timelines.
- Solid analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities, including cost comparison, budgeting support, and basic forecasting.
- Working knowledge of procurement tools, ERP systems, and MS Excel or similar software for tracking orders and vendor performance.
- Familiarity with construction materials, finishes, and services commonly used in residential projects is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across project, technical, and finance teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple requirements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Mumbai and conduct supplier visits as required.
