Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Procurement Sourcing Professional: Sourcing Leader, you will lead and manage IBM Procurement sourcing teams across global, regional, and country-level locations to ensure the effective execution of sourcing strategies and achievement of IBM's business objectives. You will require deep expertise in category sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, compliance, and supplier relationship management, combined with strong leadership and strategic vision to deliver value through IBM's global supply base
- Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Lead Sourcing Strategy Development: Develop and execute sourcing strategies to balance supply-demand requirements and leverage IBM's global spending power, ensuring alignment with IBM Procurement strategy and category goals.
- Manage Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, innovation, and cost-effectiveness in procurement engagements, and lead negotiations and contracting activities to secure favorable terms.
- Align Team Objectives: Align sourcing team objectives with IBM Procurement strategy and category goals, and ensure adequate resourcing for sourcing engagements, transitions, due diligence, and complex deal support.
- Foster Agile Practices: Champion agile practices, foster inclusion, and promote teamwork across sourcing teams and geographies, and provide feedback, recognizing contributions, and supporting career growth in alignment with IBM's talent development frameworks.
- Drive Business Value: Apply cognitive tools and analytics to identify sourcing opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive competitive advantage, ensuring IBM Procurement Sourcing delivers measurable business value and supports IBM's competitive position in the marketplace.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Category Sourcing Expertise: Experience with category sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, compliance, and supplier relationship management to deliver value through a global supply base.
- Strategic Leadership: Experience in developing and executing sourcing strategies to balance supply-demand requirements and leverage global spending power.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Experience in managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, innovation, and cost-effectiveness in procurement engagements.
- Agile Leadership: Experience in applying agile principles to enhance flexibility, collaboration, and responsiveness in negotiations and supplier management.
- Procurement Governance: Experience with procurement policies, practices, governance processes, and council strategies to ensure sourcing activities are compliant and aligned with business priorities.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Deep Category Knowledge: Experience with advanced category sourcing methodologies, including spend analysis, market research, and supplier profiling, to develop and execute complex sourcing strategies.
- Cognitive Tool Expertise: Familiarity with cognitive tools and analytics to identify sourcing opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive competitive advantage in procurement engagements.
- Global Market Understanding: Experience with global market trends, regulatory requirements, and cultural nuances to inform sourcing strategies and ensure compliance with IBM Procurement policies and practices.
