Sourcing Manager – International Products & Imports
About Us
Beautile is a premium distributor and retailer of European roofing tiles from La Escandella, bringing European craftsmanship into Kerala-style architecture. We also supply high-quality European floor tiles, CNC custom works, premium cladding stones, and European luxury furniture for architectural and interior design projects.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Sourcing Manager with mandatory hands-on import experience to identify new international products and manage the complete import lifecycle-from supplier sourcing to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. International Product Sourcing
- Identify and onboard premium international products aligned with our brand
- Focus on European markets for innovative building materials and interior solutions
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, and exclusivity potential
2. Supplier & Vendor Management
- Build strong relationships with global manufacturers
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, MOQs, and payment terms
- Ensure supplier reliability and consistency
3. Import & Compliance (Core Responsibility)
- Handle end-to-end import operations independently
- Manage documentation: invoice, packing list, bill of lading, COO, etc.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, and shipping lines
- Ensure compliance with Indian customs regulations, duties, and GST
- Track shipments and resolve delays or clearance issues
4. Costing & Pricing
- Calculate accurate landing costs (freight, duty, insurance, etc.)
- Support pricing strategy for premium positioning
5. Market Development
- Identify new product categories and growth opportunities
- Stay updated on global design and construction trends
Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Proven experience in handling imports independently (5 years minimum)
- Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs clearance, and import documentation
- Experience coordinating with freight forwarders and customs agents
- Ability to manage end-to-end import cycles without supervision
Preferred Experience
- Background in tiles, building materials, furniture, or interior products
- Experience sourcing from European markets
- Experience in premium/luxury product segments
Skills Required
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent communication (international supplier handling)
- High attention to detail in documentation and compliance
- Problem-solving mindset for logistics and customs challenges
Location
Kochi, Kerala (with international travel as required)
