About the Role
As a Sourcing Intern, you will work on market research, buyer/supplier identification, business outreach, and costing analysis that directly supports live business deals.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket & Buyer-Supplier Research
- Research domestic and international markets, pricing trends, and sourcing opportunities.
- Identify and maintain a verified database of buyers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Prepare market intelligence and competitor analysis reports.
Outreach & Lead Generation
- Contact potential buyers and suppliers through phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- Understand requirements and coordinate with potential clients and suppliers.
- Schedule meetings for the Business Development team.
- Maintain records of interactions and follow-ups.
Costing & Commercial Support
- Collect supplier quotations.
- Compare pricing, logistics, taxes, and other commercial terms.
- Assist in preparing costing sheets and profitability analysis.
- Support the preparation of commercial proposals.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain CRM and internal trackers.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Identify new product opportunities and market gaps.
- Track relevant import-export and government scheme developments.
Skills Required
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Working knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Docs, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of business, supply chain, procurement, or sales is an advantage.
- Ability to learn quickly and work with limited supervision.
- Comfortable communicating with clients and suppliers over the phone.
