Roles & Responsibilities :
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for spices, herbs, food additives,
packaging material, and indirect items.
• Ensure all suppliers comply with food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP‑aligned),
documentation norms, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for material approval, COA verification, and vendor audits.
• Raise purchase requests and purchase orders based on production plans, pick
sheets, MRP runs, and inventory levels.
• Ensure timely availability of all raw materials and packaging materials at the
factory to avoid stockouts
• Track order status and follow up with vendors, transporters, and warehouses for
on‑time delivery.
• Evaluate competitive quotations, negotiate rates, and support cost‑saving
initiatives without compromising quality.
• Assist in contract management for long‑lead or strategic items such as spices,
imported additives, and bulk packaging.
• Ensure correct material replenishment based on minimum stock levels and
demand forecasts.
• Monitor inventory health—slow‑moving, non‑moving, near‑expiry, and
FEFO/FIFO compliance.
• Maintain procurement MIS, PO logs, delivery schedules, GRN status, and vendor
performance records.
• Coordinate material documentation: COA, MSDS, allergen declarations, fumigation
certificates, etc.
• Work closely with Production, PPIC, QA, Stores, and Finance for seamless flow of
materials and information.
• Support NPD team by arranging RM/PM samples and trial‑run materials.
• Follow all GMP, GHP, safety, and procurement SOPs applicable to a food
manufacturing environment.
• Assist in internal audits and ensure procurement‑related compliance is always up
to date.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce,
Business Administration, Food Technology, or a related field.
• MBA in Supply Chain / Operations / Procurement preferred.
Seasonings Sourcing experience is Preferred.
