Role SummaryThe Sound Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end technical operations of Gretex SoundBunker, ensuring a professional, seamless, and high-quality experience for musicians and bands. In addition to managing jam room sessions, the role carries ownership of SoundBunker bookings and leads, equipment upkeep, and technical support for Gretex Music Room projects.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong sound engineering skills, operational ownership, and the ability to support business growth through technical excellence and reliability.
Key Responsibilities1. SoundBunker Operations & Technical Management
· Manage and operate all jam room sessions at Gretex SoundBunker.
· Handle sound checks, mixing, microphone placement, and live troubleshooting during sessions.
· Ensure uninterrupted and high-quality sound output for all bands and artists.
· Maintain, monitor, and manage all sound equipment including mixers, speakers, amplifiers, microphones, and cabling.
· Proactively identify equipment maintenance, repair, or upgrade requirements and report the same.
2. Lead Handling & Booking Ownership
· Take complete ownership of all SoundBunker-related enquiries and leads.
· Clearly explain jam room offerings, pricing, and availability to customers.
· Schedule, confirm, and manage bookings efficiently.
· Ensure smooth coordination from first enquiry to session completion.
· Work towards improving booking conversions and overall studio utilisation.
3. Utilisation & Growth Support
· Suggest practical ideas to increase jam room utilisation and repeat bookings.
· Contribute inputs to improve customer experience and session efficiency.
· Share operational insights with internal teams to strengthen SoundBunker performance.
4. Gretex Music Room – Technical Support
· Visit Gretex Music Room demo and project sites as required.
· Recommend suitable speaker systems and technical equipment based on project needs.
· Provide inputs on equipment placement and basic acoustic considerations.
· Support internal teams during demos, installations, and technical evaluations when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 1–3 years of hands-on experience in sound engineering, jam rooms, or live music setups.
· Strong working knowledge of mixers, PA systems, microphones, amplifiers, and signal flow.
· Practical understanding of sound requirements for band practice environments.
· Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively.
· Good communication skills and comfort interacting with musicians, bands, and clients.
