Sound Credit is seeking a Director of Marketing who can own subscription growth, digital marketing, and user engagement as the company scales toward its next major milestones. This is a high-impact opportunity for a data-driven marketer who thrives in startup environments and wants to scale a platform that directly supports artists, producers, engineers, songwriters, and other creators.

Sound Credit is positioned at the intersection of music, technology, and the global creator economy, and the platform is the ultimate space for work-in-progress music. It simplifies file sharing, collaboration, credit attribution, and data collection, solving real operational challenges for music creators worldwide. Product-market fit is already proven, there is a healthy user base including top music creators, and subscribers are growing steadily. Now we are building a leadership team to scale rapidly and drive sustained revenue growth.
About the Opportunity
This role will serve as the architect and driver of the company’s marketing engine, owning everything from content creation to acquisition funnels to creator partnerships. You'll ship creative content and lead strategy as the team grows. You’ll present marketing performance and growth strategy directly to company leadership and investors. You'll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to increase subscriber engagement and retention.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Digital Marketing
- Lead digital marketing strategy across paid social, content, and demand generation channels
- Drive adoption and subscription revenue growth
- Own GA4, Meta Ads Manager, and performance dashboards to optimize the full funnel
- Build and manage DTC funnels, landing pages, email campaigns, and conversion strategies
- Build scalable marketing roadmaps aligned with business objectives
Creative & Content
- Execute video initiatives including testimonials and creator spotlights
- Produce digital marketing assets (ads, graphics, social visuals)
- Develop messaging and positioning that resonates with artists, producers, and creators
Creator Community Marketing
- Identify and manage relationships with top creators, producers, and influencers
- Lead authentic, creator-led campaigns within a fast-paced production environment
- Track and optimize influencer and community-driven performance
Product Growth & Strategy
- Partner with Product and Engineering to improve onboarding, UX, and retention
- Lead customer research, feedback loops, and experimentation
- Help shape long-term brand identity and marketing infrastructure
Leadership & Investor Communication
- Present growth strategy, campaigns, KPIs, and results to leadership and investors
- Provide insight on market trends, creator behavior, and growth opportunities
What We Are Looking For
- 5–8 years of leadership experience in SaaS growth marketing
- Proven success scaling B2C or DTC SaaS products, not just brand or artist marketing
- Strong analytical and hands-on experience with Google Ads, GA4, Meta Ads, and performance dashboards
- Music industry experience and a genuine appreciation for creators
- The ability to execute and deliver results, not just delegate
- Prior management experience to lead a growing team
- Confidence communicating with executives and investors
- Comfort wearing many hats in a creative, startup build-as-you-go environment
- This is a remote role, but we will give extra consideration to candidates based in the Southeast region (including Memphis/Nashville/Atlanta/New Orleans) for occasional trips to our main office in Memphis (expenses covered)
