Description
The Assistant Manager is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the dispensary, including team management, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction, maintaining record-keeping, and maximizing revenue through effective operational and sales strategies. The Assistant Manager plays a critical role in patient handling, addressing customer concerns, and collaborating with the Retail General Manager to allocate resources efficiently. They also work closely with the Retail Lead to ensure proper dispensary opening and closing procedures and the effective utilization of bud-tender time and efforts.
Requirements
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and implementation of operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to align with the company's mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
- Monitor and ensure Retail's compliance with security, inventory, and all relevant compliance and legal regulations.
- Collaborate with Retail leadership and inventory personnel to coordinate outreach, promotions, and procurement efforts to meet sales and service objectives.
- Oversee the management of product inventory, cash handling, on-site financial records, and the creation and maintenance of daily operations and financial reports.
- Manage and motivate internal staff to provide top-notch customer service, including directing and monitoring staff performance, making recommendations for hiring, discipline, termination, or advancement of employees.
- Facilitate staff education and development in cannabis products and customer service techniques. Oversee and maintain the company's professionalism, including cleanliness, customer experience, displays, menus, product quality, and other aspects.
- Efficiently schedule staff to achieve productivity and sales goals, including a thorough analysis of shift labor requirements.
- Supervise Retail Leads to ensure the proper completion of tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Must be at least 21 years old and have the capability to acquire and uphold an AZDHS Facility Agent Card.
- Attention to detail, the willingness to follow instructions, and consistent attendance are crucial.
- Being a quick learner, open to coaching, and adaptable to various tasks is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and impeccable organizational abilities are required.
- Flexibility with scheduling is necessary, as is the capacity to perform effectively in a fast-paced, occasionally stressful setting.
- Familiarity with industry-specific technology and equipment, such as point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and security systems.
- Skill in successfully mediating and resolving disputes among team members or with customers. Perform any additional tasks as delegated or required.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- 3+ years of retail experience, preferably in a cannabis dispensary or related industry.
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to obtain a Facility Agent (FA) badge.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
