Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Presales Engineer / Consultant – Managed IT Services to support sales, solutioning, and consulting engagements across Digital Workplace Services, Cloud & Infrastructure Services, Cybersecurity, and Application Services.

The role requires a strong blend of technical depth, consulting capability, commercial awareness, and customer-facing communication. You will work closely with sales, delivery, solution architects, service transition, and partner teams to understand customer requirements, design managed service solutions, respond to RFPs/RFIs, create proposals, and present compelling technical solutions to enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

Presales and Client Engagement

  • Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to understand business goals, IT challenges, current-state environments, service gaps, risks, and transformation priorities.
  • Translate customer requirements into practical, scalable, and commercially viable managed IT service solutions.
  • Support sales teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from qualification and solution positioning to proposal submission and technical closure.
  • Present TecSight’s capabilities across digital workplace, cloud, infrastructure, cyber, and application managed services to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Conduct workshops, assessments, solution walkthroughs, demos, and proof-of-concept discussions where required.

Solution Design and Proposal Development

  • Design end-to-end managed service solutions covering service desk, field support, endpoint management, cloud operations, infrastructure monitoring, cybersecurity operations, application support, and service governance.
  • Prepare solution architecture documents, service models, high-level designs, transition approaches, operating models, and technical proposal content.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, client questionnaires, compliance matrices, and technical bid requirements.
  • Define service scope, assumptions, dependencies, exclusions, SLAs, OLAs, KPIs, governance models, escalation paths, and reporting requirements.
  • Work with commercial teams to support effort estimation, pricing inputs, cost models, bill of materials, and TCO/ROI narratives.

Digital Workplace Services

  • Solution services around endpoint management, device lifecycle, modern workplace, collaboration platforms, Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune, Autopilot, SCCM/MECM, VDI, mobility, service desk, and end-user experience monitoring.
  • Support workplace transformation opportunities involving hybrid work, collaboration, meeting room technologies, AV experience monitoring, smart workspace solutions, and employee productivity platforms.
  • Define user experience, adoption, automation, and support models for enterprise workplace environments.

Cloud & Infrastructure Services

  • Design managed infrastructure solutions across data center, network, server, storage, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Support cloud assessment, migration, optimization, governance, and operations opportunities across platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, VMware, Cisco, and related enterprise technologies.
  • Recommend service models for monitoring, incident management, capacity management, patching, backup, DR, automation, and continuous optimization.

Cybersecurity Services

  • Support presales solutioning for managed security services including endpoint security, vulnerability management, patch management, IAM, Zero Trust, SIEM/SOC, cloud security, compliance monitoring, and security governance.
  • Map customer security requirements to practical control frameworks, operational models, and managed security outcomes.
  • Help articulate risk reduction, compliance readiness, threat visibility, incident response, and security posture improvement.

Application Services

  • Develop managed application support and application operations solutions covering L1/L2/L3 support, application monitoring, incident/problem management, release support, DevOps coordination, integration support, and automation.
  • Support application modernization, SaaS operations, workflow automation, and AI-enabled service improvement discussions where relevant.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to build integrated service models.

Service Transition and Delivery Alignment

  • Ensure smooth handover from presales to delivery, including solution scope, commitments, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and customer expectations.
  • Support transition planning, due diligence, knowledge transfer, service readiness, and onboarding documentation.
  • Work with delivery teams to validate solution feasibility and align proposed services with operational capability.
  • Provide technical clarification during contract negotiation and service commencement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in technical presales, solution consulting, solution architecture, managed services, IT infrastructure, workplace services, cloud, cybersecurity, or application support services.
  • Strong understanding of managed IT services, IT outsourcing, service desk, endpoint management, infrastructure operations, cloud operations, cybersecurity operations, and application support models.
  • Experience creating technical proposals, RFP responses, solution documents, presentations, service descriptions, and transition plans.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes including incident, request, problem, change, configuration, knowledge, SLA, and service reporting.
  • Hands-on or solutioning experience with technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Intune, SCCM/MECM, Defender, Sentinel, VMware, Cisco, firewalls, SIEM, IAM, backup, monitoring, ITSM, and endpoint security tools.
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions clearly to CIOs, IT leaders, procurement teams, security stakeholders, and operational teams.
  • Strong consulting, stakeholder management, presentation, documentation, and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work with sales, delivery, project management, finance, partners, and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
