About the Role
We are a Sydney-based company looking for a hands-on Solution Designer to join our team remotely from India. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning end-to-end solution design, while still being technically strong across Backend, Cloud, DevOps, and Frontend.
We are open to:
- Part-time engagement (initially), or
- Full-time for the right candidate
What You’ll Do
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing system architectures
- Translate business requirements into end-to-end technical solutions
- Provide hands-on guidance across:
- Java and Python-based backend systems
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- DevOps pipelines (CI/CD, automation, deployment)
- Frontend architecture (modern frameworks)
- Contribute to architecture decisions involving AI/ML-enabled systems
- Review code, mentor developers, and enforce best practices
- Drive technical direction and long-term system design
What We’re Looking For
- 15+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in solution design
- Proven experience in solution architecture / system design
- Experience delivering scalable, production-grade systems
- Strong Advanced Java experience, including Spring Boot and microservices architecture
- Strong Python proficiency
- Solid experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Hands-on DevOps experience (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes preferred)
- Experience designing APIs and distributed system
- Working knowledge of modern frontend frameworks, including React and Next.js
- Strong expertise of databases (Postgres/SQL/ NoSQL)
- Hands-on experience in designing and delivering SaaS-based solutions is a must
- Good understanding of AI/ML concepts and workflows
- Exposure to integrating ML models or AI services into applications (preferred)
Nice to Have
- Experience working with international/remote teams
- Previous consulting or architect-level responsibilities
- Experience working in a startup environment is highly desirable.
