The Role
We are hiring a Solutions Architect to own the technical solution from customer discovery through proof-of-concept delivery for our Vision AI engagements. You will partner with sales on new opportunities, architect the right solution, and drive POCs hands-on with a small team of a lead engineer and developers. The role suits an engineer who can hold a credible conversation with a customer and also be able to debug a model pipeline with the team.
What You Will Own
Solutioning and Pre-Sales
• Run technical discovery with prospect customers across engineering, operations, IT, and field teams.
• Translate ambiguous customer requirements into clear solution architectures, effort estimates, and POC plans.
• Define camera coverage, edge hardware selection, model pipeline, integration approach, dashboard requirements, and delivery assumptions for each opportunity.
• Write or own the technical sections of proposals, RFP responses, and customer presentations.
• Partner with sales on shaping deals, handling technical objections, and running customer pitches and demos.
POC Delivery and Team Leadership
• Drive POCs end-to-end with a small team of a lead engineer and developers, holding both technical and timeline accountability.
• Build and tune model pipelines, calibrate against field data, and validate feasibility against customer success metrics.
• Work with hardware and field teams on camera placement, data capture, lighting, and environmental constraints during the POC.
• Set the customer cadence during the POC: weekly updates, demo days, evidence packs, and exception walkthroughs.
• Hand off successful POCs to the product engineering team with clean documentation, deployment playbooks, and known constraints.
What We Are Looking For
Must Have
• 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in computer vision, deep learning, or applied ML, with at least 2 years in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Lead, or equivalent).
• Strong Python and software engineering habits: version control, code review, testing, reproducibility, and maintainable production code.
• Deep experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, OpenCV-based video and image pipelines, and at least one production vision domain (OCR, ANPR, object detection, tracking, anomaly detection, or industrial video analytics).
• Hands-on experience with edge or on-prem inference stacks: NVIDIA Jetson, TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, or similar.
• Track record of taking POCs from blank-page architecture to working customer demonstration on a defined timeline.
• Ability to scope customer requirements, make technical trade-offs clear, and communicate credibly with both engineers and senior business stakeholders.
• Experience leading or mentoring small engineering teams through delivery sprints.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in industrial environments when required.
Nice to Have
• Prior work as a Solutions Architect or Pre-Sales Engineer at a Vision AI, computer vision, edge AI, or industrial automation company.
• Experience with multi-camera systems, evidence workflows, or video systems that stand up in audit or operational review.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux, camera integration (RTSP, ONVIF), or hardware-aware optimisation.
• Exposure to enterprise sales cycles and B2B technical procurement realities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
