Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Engineer/Lead with 7+ years of software delivery experience in the utility industry to join our Digital Solutions team. The Senior Solution Engineer/Lead will serve as a key technical resource for software implementation and integration projects, responsible for ensuring the technical success of projects through configuration, testing, tracking, and management of technical deliverables. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong technical expertise, analytical and root cause analysis skills, and the ability to work closely with the Solution Architect and Project Manager to ensure solutions meet customer requirements and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong MDMS implementation experience and be capable of taking on the Solution Lead role, while independently managing multiple technical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to the TRC Software Implementation Delivery Methodology
- Experience implementing and testing Meter Data Management System (MDMS) Experience with the Siemens GridScale X MDM software is desired.
- Experience in integrating the GSX MDM with SAP IS-U and SAP EDM systems using the SAP Adapter to enable master data synchronization and end-to-end billing
- Assists Solution Lead/Architect and Project Manager with scope management, project planning, milestones and work and resource estimates
- Acts as a technical expert supporting the Solution Lead and Solution Architect in the design of the solution to meet the customer Depending on the level of experience, the candidate may be the Solution Lead on the project.
- Develops project deliverables for the Client project team during design phase
- Participates in the Build and Test phase of the project (configures and tests) to ensure delivery of the solution on plan and adhering to technical best
- Responsible for ensuring testing is completed to a high standard and on schedule by developing test cases, executing unit and integration testing, documenting test results, and providing evidence that the solution is fully tested, help customer during User Acceptance
- Documents requirements for custom development and works with custom development team to ensure requirements are met
- Develops and delivers onsite end user training, as
- Supports proposals and participates in RFP activities including clarifications, support of short list presentation and supporting scope definition in contract development and negotiations, as and when
Qualifications
