Role Overview :
Role
The Solution Architect will play a critical leadership role in designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital platforms for global clients. The role requires a strong combination of :
- Strategic architecture thinking
- Hands-on technical expertise
- Client-facing solution design
- Cross-team engineering leadership
You will work closely with delivery leaders, engineering teams, product managers, and client stakeholders to design solutions that are scalable, resilient, secure, and AI-enabled and cloud-native. The role demands both strategic architecture thinking and hands-on technical depth.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture & Platform Design :
- Define end-to-end architecture for enterprise platforms across AI, cloud, data, and digital applications
- Design microservices, event-driven, and API-first architectures for scalable digital platforms
- Architect cloud-native systems using containerization, serverless services, and distributed systems design
- Define integration architecture using APIs, messaging systems, and enterprise middleware
- Ensure architectures support high availability, fault tolerance, and horizontal scalability
- Design multi-tenant SaaS platforms and enterprise-grade backend systems
- AI, Data & Generative AI Platform Integration :
- Architect platforms that integrate AI/ML capabilities into enterprise applications
- Design data pipelines, analytics layers, and AI model deployment architectures
- Implement Generative AI architectures (RAG systems, knowledge assistants, AI agents)
- Integrate NLP, predictive analytics, and AI automation frameworks
- Ensure data governance, privacy, and compliance across AI and analytics platforms
- Enable MLOps and AI model lifecycle management in production environments
- Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering :
Design cloud-native architectures using AWS, Azure, or GCP, including :
- Kubernetes platforms (AKS / EKS / GKE)
- Serverless computing architectures
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation)
- Cloud-native database and storage services
Enable Modern Platform Capabilities
- CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
- Infrastructure automation and environment provisioning
- Observability frameworks (metrics, logs, tracing)
- Resilience and disaster recovery architectures
- Non-Functional Architecture & Reliability :
Define Architecture Standards For
- Performance and scalability
- High availability and fault tolerance
- Disaster recovery strategies (RPO/RTO)
- Observability and monitoring frameworks
Optimize Systems For
- Cost efficiency (FinOps)
- Performance optimization
- Operational resilience
- Security & Compliance Architecture :
- Design secure-by-design architectures using Zero Trust principles
- Implement identity, encryption, and secrets management strategies
- Ensure architecture compliance with ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR where applicable
- Collaborate with security teams to perform threat modelling and architecture risk assessments
- Technical Leadership & Engineering Governance :
- Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams across multiple projects.
- Define architecture standards, reusable patterns, and technical best practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews and design validations.
- Mentor senior engineers and tech leads on architecture decision-making.
- Client Engagement & Pre-Sales Support :
- Participate in client discovery workshops and technical discussions.
- Translate business problems into technical solution blueprints.
- Support RFP/RFI responses, solution proposals, and architecture diagrams.
- Present architecture solutions to client CTOs, CIOs, and engineering leaders.
- Delivery Oversight & Risk Management :
- Guide delivery teams to ensure architectural compliance.
- Identify technical risks, scalability challenges, and security considerations early.
- Ensure alignment between architecture design and implementation execution.
Experience
Required Skills & Experience :
- 10 - 15 years of experience in software engineering and architecture roles
- Minimum 4 to 6 years in solution architecture or technical leadership roles
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale platforms for global clients
Technical Expertise
Strong experience across several of the following areas :
Architecture & Engineering
- Microservices and distributed systems
- Event-driven architecture
- API-first platform design
- Domain-driven design (DDD)
Cloud Platforms
- AWS / Azure / GCP architecture
- Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / ARM / Bicep)
Backend & Platform Technologies
- Java / .NET / Python / Node.js ecosystems
- RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Data & AI Integration
- Data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse)
- ML model deployment architectures
- Generative AI and LLM integration patterns
DevOps & Platform Engineering
- CI/CD pipelines
- Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)
- Security best practices (OWASP, Zero Trust principles)
Good To Have
- Experience designing AI-first or GenAI-enabled enterprise platforms
- Exposure to MLOps or AI infrastructure architectures
- Knowledge of enterprise integration frameworks
- Experience working in IT services delivery models
- Domain exposure in BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, or Manufacturing
