Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Solution Architect – Senior Manager (Finance) to lead the design and governance of enterprise technology solutions across the Finance Product Stream. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining robust, scalable, and secure technology solutions that deliver business value while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and long-term operability.
This role requires close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, Functional Consultants, and Development teams to translate complex business requirements into end-to-end solution architectures and provide technical assurance throughout the solution lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
- Design and oversee comprehensive technology solutions for medium- to high-complexity finance initiatives.
- Develop solution architecture blueprints that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Enterprise Architecture & Governance
- Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture principles, standards, and architectural guardrails.
- Participate in architecture review boards and provide recommendations on complex or high-risk solutions.
- Support the definition and enhancement of architectural standards, frameworks, and reusable patterns.
Finance Technology Leadership
- Provide architectural leadership across Finance Product Stream applications, including:
- SAP FICO
- SAP SD
- Payment and Invoicing Applications
- Costing Solutions
- Microsoft Power Platform
- Microsoft Azure Technologies
Technical Assurance
- Conduct solution reviews and provide technical assurance for delivered solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security, integration, performance, and governance standards.
- Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Product Owners and senior business stakeholders to understand requirements and define target-state solutions.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Innovation & Technology Evaluation
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor solutions to support business transformation initiatives.
- Drive solution reuse and standardization to improve delivery efficiency and reduce technical debt.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead and mentor Solution Architects and technical teams within the Finance Product Stream.
- Promote best practices in architecture, design, and governance.
- Support capability development and succession planning for future architecture talent.
Documentation & Repository Management
- Maintain architecture documentation, solution artifacts, and reusable components.
- Document current-state and target-state architectures and identify areas of technical debt and modernization opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Technology Leadership roles.
- Strong experience designing enterprise solutions within Finance domains.
- Deep understanding of:
- SAP FICO
- SAP SD
- Payment & Invoicing Applications
- Costing Systems
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Power Platform
- Experience in architecture governance, standards, and solution assurance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to operate autonomously and lead architecture initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent Architecture Certification.
- Hands-on development experience in Java or other enterprise technologies.
- Experience establishing enterprise architecture frameworks and governance models.
- Exposure to cloud-native architectures and modern integration patterns.
