Learning Support AssistantSalary: Band C - £25,992 - £28,624 (pro-rata) £19,572 - £21,554 (Actual Salary) (This is subject to qualifications and experience) Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only (39 weeks per year) Merstone School is a special school in Solihull that caters for pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, learning difficulties and physical disabilities. We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will be working with pupils aged 2-19 supporting them to access their learning. Duties will include:- Supporting pupils with their academic work- Helping pupils to develop their independence and life skills- Assisting with personal care and medical needs as required- Participating in class trips and visits-Administering first aid as necessaryPlease note that you will be required to undertake manual handling training. You will also be required to undertake training in Positive Behaviour Support. The school offers excellent opportunities for development and training.
