Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Solidworks Design Engineer located in Coimbatore. The role involves designing and developing high-precision patterns, tooling, and fixtures using SolidWorks and related CAD systems. Responsibilities include preparing detailed 3D models, technical drawings, conducting design reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing designs for manufacturability. The Solidworks Design Engineer will work closely with production and quality teams to ensure final product specifications meet industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design to develop high-precision patterns, tooling, and fixtures
- Strong expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), particularly in SolidWorks, and ability to create detailed 3D models
- Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles and practices
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts as applicable to the tooling and manufacturing domain
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to optimize design for manufacturability
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with casting-oriented design or exposure to the foundry industry is advantageous
