The Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) is seeking an experienced Process Control Design Specialist to support an exciting AI Labs project on a contract basis.
We are looking for a consultant who can identify and customise an existing 2-tank process-control training rig design (developed in SolidWorks) to meet our specific requirements.
Scope of Work
- Identify a suitable existing design for a 2-tank process-control training rig
- Customise the design to EIT specifications, including: Piping systems, pumps and valves, instrumentation and electrical and control systems
- Deliver fabrication-ready documentation and drawings
- Ensure integration between mechanical and control/electrical components
Key Requirements
Proven experience in:
- Process equipment and skid design
- Tanks/vessels and industrial systems
- SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software)
- Producing fabrication-ready technical documentation
- Strong understanding of process control systems and instrumentation
- Ability to work independently and deliver to project timelines
Desirable
- Experience in both mechanical design and electrical/control systems (or ability to cover both areas)
- Background in training rigs, pilot plants, or educational lab equipment
