Role Description The Solar Site Engineer will oversee on-site solar project execution at Mengio, ensuring that installations meet design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. This full-time role includes supervising civil and structural works, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, monitoring construction progress, and reporting site status to project managers. The engineer will conduct site surveys, verify layouts, support commissioning activities, and troubleshoot technical issues during installation and operation. Daily responsibilities also involve maintaining documentation, enforcing quality control procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. The position requires regular interaction with stakeholders at the site to ensure clear communication and efficient resolution of operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Strong on-site project execution and supervision skills, including hands-on experience at solar installation sites.
- Effective communication abilities for coordinating with site teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Quality control experience in monitoring construction activities, inspections, and compliance with standards.
- Background in structural engineering or civil engineering, preferably with exposure to solar or renewable energy projects.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems, basic electrical and structural design principles, and relevant safety practices.
- Proficiency in using site measurement tools, reading technical drawings, and preparing progress reports.
- Ability to work independently in remote on-site locations, with a focus on reliability, problem-solving, and time management.
