Job Description – Solar Layout Designer
**Position:- Solar Layout Designer
**Department:-Engineering / Design
**Location:-Gurgram- Sector 83
**Qualification:-B. tech or Equivalent.
**Budget :- 20% hike (Max – 50000)
Role :
The Solar Layout Designer is responsible for creating detailed solar plant layout designs for rooftop, ground-mounted, and utility-scale solar projects. The role involves using design software and technical standards to prepare site layouts, electrical drawings, and shading analyses, ensuring that designs are optimized for efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed solar PV layout designs, single line diagrams (SLDs), and related drawings for projects.
• Conduct site analysis using survey data, satellite imagery, and topographical maps.
• Perform shading analysis and calculate expected energy yield using specialized software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, SketchUp).
• Design rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems, considering structural feasibility, wind loads, and space optimization.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and safety regulations in all designs.
• Collaborate with the project engineering team to finalize Bill of Materials (BOM) and equipment selection.
• Assist in preparing permit drawings, tender documentation, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with the project execution team to resolve any design-related issues during installation.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in solar technology, design tools, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in solar PV system design .
• Strong knowledge of solar PV components, electrical standards, and grid regulations.
• Understanding of structural design basics and mounting system layouts.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in large-scale (MW-level) solar projects.
