Job description: Solar Engineer / Manager

Location: Kolkata (Office-based with field visits as required)

Experience: Minimum 1+ years (Only applicants with this experience will be considered.)

Industry: Solar EPC / Renewable Energy.

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and technically oriented Solar Engineer / Manager to support site assessments, feasibility analysis, and project execution. The role combines fieldwork, technical evaluation, and coordination with internal teams to ensure successful solar project development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects
• Assess feasibility including rooftop condition, space availability, and shading analysis
• Capture site images and document all relevant technical data
• Evaluate electrical infrastructure and grid connection points
• Support preparation of BOQs, costing, and basic project estimates
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams for accurate system planning
• Visit client sites based on incoming leads and support pre-sales technical activities
• Assist in project execution and coordination with vendors/contractors
• Maintain proper documentation and reporting of site assessments

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year experience in solar EPC / renewable energy
• Practical knowledge of solar PV systems and installations
• Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork regularly
• Comfortable working at heights (rooftops)
• Understanding of electrical systems and connections
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)

Preferred

• Experience in site surveys and feasibility analysis
• Exposure to rooftop and C&I solar projects
• Understanding of solar design and system sizing
• Knowledge of local solar regulations and policies
