Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Solar Engineer based in Velachery. The Solar Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing solar energy systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The position requires conducting site assessments, designing photovoltaic (PV) systems, preparing technical and financial reports, overseeing installation processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The engineer will work collaboratively with project teams to meet client expectations and optimize performance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Solar PV system design, layout, and implementation
- Competency in site assessment and energy generation analysis
- Strong understanding of electrical design and safety standards related to solar energy
- Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, or other design software
- Technical report writing and documentation skills
- Experience in project management and ability to oversee installation processes
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
- Prior experience in the solar energy sector is preferred
- Knowledge of local regulatory and compliance requirements in the renewable energy industry
