Who Should NOT Apply
This role requires a precision-oriented engineer comfortable with defense-grade protocols. Avoid candidates with the following profiles:
Manual-Only Testers: The POC explicitly requires the use of automatic tools for test plans and high-frequency data simulation. If they cannot write scripts to automate tests, they will not meet the requirement.
Web-Application Specialists: Candidates who have only tested REST APIs, websites, or mobile apps. This project involves low-level binary protocols (DDS) and multicast networking that require a different debugging mindset.
Standard OS Testers: If their experience is limited to Windows or macOS. The requirement for RHEL 9 and deployment via deploy.sh scripts is mandatory.
Documentation-Averse Candidates: This role involves heavy IEEE and CMMI Level 4 compliance. Candidates who find formal technical writing or strict adherence to documentation standards tedious will not succeed here.
"Black-Box" Only Testers: Because this involves Integration Engineering, the candidate must be able to look at C++ structs and DDS IDL files to understand why data correlation might be failing.
Company Description
Aiila Innovations is a deep-tech aerospace company specializing in mission-critical systems for national defense, including solutions for Defense Labs, the Tri-forces, and the Coast Guard. By integrating AI-enabled hardware and software solutions, the company bridges the gap between orbital intelligence and tactical operations. Its flagship ecosystem features cutting-edge technologies like Manas, a multi-platform edge computing solution, and Dhristi, an advanced AI-driven integrated platform. Aiila transforms complex technology into specialized, field-ready tools, empowering front-line operatives with expert solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- High-Load Validation: Executing the "High-Load Test" to verify the simulator can handle 100+ concurrent targets and 5,000 updates/second while maintaining an FPS above 30Hz.
- Fusion Testing: Conducting "Fusion Tests" to verify that color-coded updates from the UDP Multicast Plugin correctly override or supplement DDS data without lag.
- System Integration: Performing end-to-end integration of the plugin-based host shell, ensuring that dynamic loading of .so files does not compromise system stability.
- Compliance Documentation: Writing and maintaining Software Test Plans (STP) and Software Test Reports (STR) using automated tools in accordance with IEEE standards.
- Quality Assurance: Working closely with the Software Quality Assurance Group (SQAG) to generate necessary reports for CMMI Level 4 audit compliance.
- UI/UX Performance Testing: Verifying that interactive features (click-and-drag selection, context menus, and tooltips) do not cause display stuttering during high-load scenarios.
Qualifications
- Academic: B.E/B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Experience: A minimum of 02+ years specifically in the field of software testing and integration.
- Standards Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of IEEE 29148-2011 (Requirements), IEEE 829-2008 (Test Documentation), and IEEE 1063-2001 (User Documentation).
- Hands-on experience with automated testing using industry-standard tools.
- Working knowledge of testing in a Linux (RHEL 9) environment.
- Familiarity with testing asynchronous communication protocols like DDS and UDP/IP.
- Experience generating reports compliant with CMMI Level 4 standards.Experience with Qt framework and C++
- Understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues effectively
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Work experience in aerospace or defence technology is a plus
