Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Tester role based in Mumbai. The Software Tester will design, review, and execute test cases across web, mobile, and backend systems to validate functionality, performance, and reliability. Responsibilities include identifying, documenting, and tracking defects; collaborating with developers, business analysts, and designers to clarify requirements; and verifying bug fixes and new features before release. The role involves participating in test planning, regression testing, and smoke testing, as well as contributing to the improvement of QA processes, test documentation, and reporting. The Software Tester will also help ensure that quality standards, security considerations, and edge cases are consistently addressed throughout the development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, including understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Test Execution and creating, maintaining, and reviewing Test Cases for web, mobile, or API-based applications.
- Proven Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, and investigate issues across complex systems.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools, test management systems, and version control workflows.
- Basic knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to document test results, defects, and QA reports clearly.
- Attention to detail, a structured approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Exposure to automation testing tools, API testing (e.g., Postman), performance testing concepts, and working with AI-enabled tooling.
