Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Software Tester. The Software Tester will design, review, and execute test cases for web and software applications, ensuring that features meet functional and non-functional requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing manual test execution, documenting defects, verifying fixes, and collaborating with developers and product team members to clarify requirements and reproduce issues. The role also involves contributing to test plans, maintaining test documentation, and supporting regression, integration, and system testing cycles. The Software Tester will help improve testing processes, suggest quality improvements, and participate in regular team meetings and review sessions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, including understanding of testing methodologies, defect life cycle, and test levels.
- Hands-on experience with Test Execution and developing, maintaining, and organizing Test Cases.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for identifying edge cases, troubleshooting issues, and interpreting test results.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar) and basic understanding of SDLC and Agile practices.
- Ability to document clear, concise test results and defects, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with basic SQL, API testing, or automation tools (such as Selenium or similar) is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
