Role Description The Software Test Intern role at Cognior is a full-time, on-site position based in Ernakulam. The intern will support the testing lifecycle by drafting and maintaining test cases, executing tests, and documenting results in collaboration with the product and development teams. Daily responsibilities include reviewing functional requirements, identifying defects, reproducing issues, and verifying fixes to help ensure product quality and reliability. The intern will also assist with basic test management activities, such as organizing test artifacts, contributing to regression test cycles, and providing clear status updates. This role offers exposure to real-world software development and testing practices in an AI-driven product environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in creating and organizing Test Cases and basic Test Management practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in Test Execution and functional Testing of web or SaaS applications.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Software Development concepts, including SDLC and defect life cycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team, communicate clearly, and follow structured testing processes.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with any test management or bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) is an advantage.
- Interest in AI-driven products and willingness to learn new tools, frameworks, and testing methodologies.
