1. Role Purpose
The Software Test & Field Support Engineer is responsible for executing software testing activities, performing software installation tasks, and providing technical support for field‑related issues. The role requires basic knowledge of electronics, Python programming fundamentals, and the ability to troubleshoot software and system‑level problems. The position involves both remote and on‑site support as required.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Software Testing
- Execute test cases as per defined test plans and procedures
- Perform functional, regression, and validation testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools
- Assist in root‑cause analysis in coordination with development teams
- Maintain test records, logs, and documentation
2.2 Technical Support & Field Activities
- Provide first‑level technical support via phone, email, or remote tools
- Conduct on‑site visits for issue diagnosis and resolution when required
- Record field issues, resolutions, and escalate unresolved cases
- Support deployment, installation, and configuration of software at customer sites
2.3 Technical Operations
- Perform software installation, updates, and basic configuration
- Utilize basic Python scripts for automation or data processing
- Apply basic electronics knowledge to support hardware‑related troubleshooting
- Use Windows 10 tools for diagnostics, log analysis, and system checks
3. Required Skills and Competencies
3.1 Technical Skills
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and processes
- Basic understanding of electronics (circuits, sensors, hardware interfaces)
- Basic Python programming skills
- Experience with software installation and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Windows 10 operating system

4. Educational Qualifications
