Role and Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in automotive test automation with a focus on HiL environments.
- Proven expertise in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) — writing Gherkin Test Cases and driving test generation from requirements.
- Hands-on proficiency with Tracertronic ECU-TEST: test package design, tool connections, Python scripting, ATX reporting, and CI integration.
- Strong Python 3.x programming skills — object-oriented design, modular architecture, unit testing (pytest), and packaging.
- Experience writing Python scripts for HiL bench control, CAN message parsing, test data generation, and automated reporting.
- Expert-level proficiency with Vector CANoe for bus simulation, test module development, and CAPL scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Vector EVSE Toolkit for AC/DC charging station simulation (IEC 61851, ISO 15118, DIN SPEC 70121).
- Familiarity with HIL tools (dSPACE, Vector VT System, NI PXI, or equivalent).
- Ability to generate comprehensive test suites from requirements documents, FMEAs, and safety analyses using systematic test design techniques.
- Proficiency with relevant Python libraries: python-can, cantools, pandas, numpy, jinja2, requests, and parameterized testing utilities.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines — authoring .gitlab-ci.yml files, defining multi-stage workflows, and configuring GitLab Runners.
- Solid understanding of BMS architecture: CMU, BCU, BJB, cell chemistry, SoC/SoH/SoP estimation, balancing, and thermal management.
- Knowledge of BMS protection algorithms: OVP, UVP, OTP, OCP, isolation monitoring (IMD), HVIL, and safe-state logic.
- Understanding of EV charging architecture: OBC, CCU, charging standards (SAE J1772, IEC 62196), and EVSE communication protocols.
- Familiarity with HV electrical safety fundamentals relevant to 400V/800V battery systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on HiL bench configuration and test execution in an automotive ECU validation environment.
- Experience with ISO 26262 functional safety verification — ASIL-tagged test cases, safety goal coverage, and safety case evidence.
Exposure to V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid), bidirectional charging (ISO 15118-20), or second-life battery testing.
