Role Description
We are seeking a Software Test Engineer who is detail-oriented and passionate about delivering bug-free, user-friendly applications. You will be responsible for performing manual and automated testing, identifying issues, and ensuring our applications meet the highest standards of quality. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Tambaram, Chennai office.
The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong understanding of testing life cycles, experience in writing test cases, and a knack for uncovering edge-case bugs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases
- Conduct functional, regression, performance, and UI testing of web and mobile applications
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product teams to ensure complete test coverage
- Identify, record, and document bugs thoroughly
- Verify issue fixes and perform re-testing
- Prepare and maintain test documentation, test plans, and bug reports
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards before release
- Participate in agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
✅ Qualifications
- 0–3 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation)
- Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools
- Experience in writing test cases, test plans, and test reports
- Familiarity with automated testing tools (Selenium, Appium, or similar) is a plus
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, APIs, or scripting languages is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile team environment
