Job Title: Software Test Engineer – Manual & Test Automation

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Test Engineer to join our Quality
Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Manual software
testing and automation, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
He/she will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and
collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional
and non-functional requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems, ensuring clear
communication with development teams.
- Participate in requirement reviews and design discussions to enhance testability and
product quality.
- Conduct regression, performance, and user acceptance testing to validate software
functionality.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
efficiently.
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for functional, regression,
and performance testing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and apply them to enhance testing efficiency.
Identify automation scope, develop reliable test automation scripts, and integrate them
with CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain clear and concise test documentation including test results, defect logs, and
test coverage reports.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or
TestNG.
- Having good knowledge of Python Programming which can be used for developing
automation scripts.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI with REST and SOAP UI
Protocols
- Knowledge of SQL and experience in database testing.
- Perform API testing using Python-based tools such as PyTest, Requests, or Robot
Framework.
- Analyse test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve
issues.
- Maintain test environments and ensure data integrity during test execution.
- Continuously improve automation strategies and contribute to QA best practices.
Education
Bachelor/Masters in Electronics & Communication (ECE)/Electronics & Electrical
(EEE)/Computer Science (CSE)/ Instrumentation (EIE)
