Job Description

The Test Engineer in the HPM Business is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products used in critical patient monitoring systems. This role plays a key part in defining and executing test strategies, driving automation, and collaborating closely with development and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, compliant, and scalable solutions in an agile environment.

Your Role

  • Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test cases and test designs, ensuring full traceability to requirements.
  • Own the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all test documentation in line with quality management systems.
  • Define and execute testing for functional, performance, reliability, and scalability aspects of the product.
  • Design and implement automated test cases, striving to meet committed automation coverage goals.
  • Review test artifacts created by other team members to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Adhere to and execute the defined verification and validation strategy for products and subsystems.
  • Perform log analysis and identify root causes to accelerate defect resolution.
  • Actively collaborate with development teams to enable early defect detection and faster resolution.
  • Participate in reviews of engineering deliverables such as requirements, use cases, and risk mitigations.
  • Provide inputs for test estimation, planning, resource identification, and risk management.
  • Support timely, high‑quality releases through close collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

You're The Right Fit If

  • 5–10 years of experience in software testing, including test strategy, manual testing, and test automation.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in Java‑based test automation using Selenium.
  • Practical experience with BDD frameworks, including development and maintenance.
  • Expertise in web services testing, including REST and SOAP.
  • Strong understanding of defect management processes and tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing/integration/deployment practices.
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization, and networking concepts.

Good to Have

  • Experience with AWS, JMeter, PostgreSQL, and AngularJS.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodology.
  • Exposure to cloud‑based testing strategies and modern test automation frameworks.
