KeyResponsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Serveas a technical authority for the ServiceNow platform across multiple domains(ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, GRC, SPM).
- Defineplatform architecture, design patterns, and development standards aligned withServiceNow best practices.
- Leadcomplex solution designs, including integrations, data models, customapplications, and scoped apps.
- Reviewand approve high impact technical designs, scripts, and integrations.
PlatformEngineering & Development
- Designand develop high quality, reusable, and scalable ServiceNow solutions,including:
- BusinessRules, Script Includes, UI Actions
- FlowDesigner & IntegrationHub
- ServicePortal / Employee Center / UI Builder
- CMDB& Discovery customizations
- Customapplications and APIs
- Ensureupgrade safe development with minimal technical debt.
- Driveautomation-first and low code/no code adoption where appropriate.
Governance,Quality & Performance
- Establishand enforce coding standards, review practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ownplatform performance, security, and compliance posture.
- Proactivelyidentify and remediate:
- Performancebottlenecks
- Antipatterns
- Overcustomization risks
- Partnerwith InfoSec and Risk teams on access controls, data privacy, and auditreadiness.
Mentorship& Engineering Excellence
- MentorSenior Engineers and Lead Developers, elevating overall team capability.
- Conductdesign reviews, code reviews, and technical deep dives.
- Promotea culture of engineering excellence, documentation, and continuous learning.
- Actas a technical escalation point for critical incidents or complex defects.
StakeholderCollaboration
- Collaboratewith:

- ProductOwners & Platform Owners
- BusinessProcess Owners
- ServiceNowPractice & COE teams
- Translatebusiness requirements into robust technical solutions.

RequiredQualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- 10+years of overall software engineering experience.
- 7+years of hands on ServiceNow development experience.
- Provenexperience working in large, multi instance, enterprise ServiceNowenvironments.
TechnicalSkills (Must Have)
Deepexpertise in:
- ServiceNowscripting (JavaScript, Glide API)
- FlowDesigner & IntegrationHub
- CMDB,CSDM, Discovery, and Service Mapping
- Strongexperience with:
- REST/SOAPintegrations
- Authentication(OAuth, SAML, MID Server)
- Performancetuning and debugging
- Experiencewith ServiceNow upgrade strategy and impact analysis.
Certifications(Highly Preferred)
- ServiceNowCertified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNowCertified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNowImplementation Specialist (any domain)
- ServiceNowCertified Technical Architect (CTA) – highly desirable
