Job Title: Quality Assurance Tester (IMSG AutoChem)
Individual contributor role involving high-level people coordination. Though there are no direct reports, this role will have significant coordination with global colleagues in SBU, Software RnD Team.

METTLER TOLEDO is rapidly expanding its presence in the field of drug discovery and development with its AutoChem Strategic Business Unit SBU). The AutoChem SBU is a strategic, high profile business within METTLER TOLEDO. We provide integrated solutions to research scientists in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemical industries. Our laboratory instruments enable scientists to reduce the time required to discover and develop new chemical compounds, allowing them to bring new products to market faster.
AutoChem is the collective term for all Mettler Toledo (MT) Automated Chemistry. Starting from Reaction Engineering, online reaction analysis by spectroscopic techniques and online particle measurement in crystalization unit operations (Process Analytical Technology), scale up, safety and hazop studies fall under this group.

Manager – Software Testing Team
Job Description:
The role requires a proactive and self-driven QA Tester who takes ownership of planning and executing comprehensive test cases, identifying and resolving bugs independently, and actively collaborating with developers and product teams to ensure a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Independently understand, review, and assess requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure they are testable and verifiable, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
2. Take initiative to design, write, execute, and maintain thorough test cases and test scenarios.
3. Perform detailed manual testing of web, desktop, and/or mobile applications with minimal supervision.
4. Proactively identify, log, track, and retest defects using bug-tracking tools.
5. Collaborate closely with developers to understand issues, verify fixes, and follow through until resolution.
6. Conduct a wide range of testing types including functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, performance, and sanity testing.
7. Actively participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning meetings, contributing insights to improve quality.
8. Ensure that software meets or exceeds quality standards before release.
9. Maintain comprehensive test documentation and reports, updating them regularly.
10. Recommend, implement, and support continuous quality improvements and enhancements to testing processes, procedures, tools, and work products to address deficiencies, ensure compliance, and improve overall efficiency.
Critical Competencies/ Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred) 4-5 years of experience in QA software testing
2. Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
3. Experience with manual testing techniques
4. Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.)
5. Basic knowledge of SQL/MongodB and databases (preferred)
6. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Strong communication and documentation skills
8. Experience in web-based software testing and software testing tools, particularly Gherkin, SpecSync, Playwright, Git, Postman, Azure DevOps;
9. Experience with agile development methodologies such as SCRUM, CI/CD
10. Basic programming or scripting knowledge
