Job Brief:
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and motivated Software QA Engineer – I to join our Quality Assurance team. The candidate will be responsible for testing web and cloud-based applications, identifying bugs, validating functionalities, and ensuring high product quality before release.
This role is ideal for freshers or early-career professionals who are passionate about software testing, problem-solving, and delivering seamless user experiences in a fast-paced product environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of web applications, dashboards, and cloud-based platforms.
- Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test reports.
- Identify, document, track, and verify bugs/issues using bug tracking tools.
- Validate UI functionalities, workflows, dashboards, graphs, and alerts.
- Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Perform basic API testing and data validation activities.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure product quality.
- Retest fixes and verify issue resolutions before production release.
- Participate in sprint planning, QA reviews, and release testing cycles.
- Ensure applications meet business and functional requirements.
- Maintain proper testing documentation and QA reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Software Testing and QA methodologies.
- Knowledge of Manual Testing concepts, bug lifecycle, and defect reporting.
- Familiarity with API Testing tools like Postman is preferred.
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Basic knowledge of databases/SQL for data validation.
- Exposure to Selenium or automation testing concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation abilities.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- B.Tech / BCA / MCA / B.Sc (CS/IT) or related technical background preferred.
- Passionate about software quality and user experience.
- Eager to learn and work on real-time projects.
