Role Description As a full-time remote Software Intern at BeyondScroll, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of core product features that enable digital wellness solutions. On a day-to-day basis, you will write and review code, contribute to software design discussions, and assist in integrating and optimizing databases to ensure application reliability and performance. You will participate in testing activities, including creating test cases, debugging issues, and collaborating with mentors to improve overall software quality. The role also includes documenting technical work, working closely with cross-functional teams, and learning best practices for modern software development in a supportive, fully remote environment.
Qualifications
- Foundational skills in Software Development and Software Design, with the ability to contribute to feature implementation and architecture discussions.
- Programming experience in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar) and an interest in learning new technologies.
- Basic understanding of Databases (SQL or NoSQL) and exposure to data modeling, queries, and performance considerations.
- Knowledge of Testing concepts, including unit testing, integration testing, and debugging practices.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions and learn from feedback.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment, with clear written and verbal communication.
- Interest in digital wellness, accessibility, and building user-centered products is highly beneficial.
