About Interioring
Interioring is building a digital platform for interior professionals — where designers, vendors, and home service experts can showcase their work and connect with serious homeowners. We're in the build phase, moving fast, and looking for someone who wants to grow with a startup from day one.
Role Overview
You'll start by learning the product inside out — exploring features, finding bugs, and writing tests that keep the platform stable as we ship new things. Over time, as you get comfortable, you'll pick up real development work. This is a path, not just a posting.
Duration & Compensation
• First 2 months: Unpaid internship (learning + portfolio-building phase)
• Month 3 onwards: Paid internship (based on performance and commitment)
Working Hours: 4–5 hours per day, Monday–Saturday
Key Responsibilities
• Manually test new and existing features — explore flows, find edge cases, report bugs clearly
• Write automated tests for critical user journeys using tools like Playwright or similar
• Document test cases and maintain a basic test coverage log
• Collaborate with the founder to understand what's being built and what needs testing
• Flag regressions when new features break old ones
• Gradually take on small development tasks as comfort and context grow
What We're Looking For
• Basic programming knowledge (any language)
• Curiosity-driven mindset — you like breaking things
• Comfortable reading and understanding code
• Clear written communication in English
• Proactive — you don't wait to be told what to test
• Comfortable in an early-stage, unstructured environment
• Bonus: exposure to JavaScript / TypeScript
• Bonus: any hands-on project — college, personal, or freelance
• Bonus: experience writing automated tests
Growth Path
• Strong performance converts the internship to a paid role from month 3
• QA track grows into full developer responsibilities over time
• Direct founder mentorship — no layers, no ticket queues
• Opportunity to grow into a full-time developer role
Important
This is not a "just run test scripts" internship. You'll be expected to think about what could break, why it matters, and how to catch it before users do. If you're looking for passive work, this may not be the right fit.
